Watts Up

Watts Up is a Raycast extension that shows your MacBook's charger wattage, charging power and battery health, and it's now on the Raycast store.

Watts Up is a new Raycast extension that shows what your MacBook’s charger is doing. Show Power and Charger Info lists the negotiated adapter wattage, voltage × current and charging status. It also lists charge level, health, cycle count and temperature. Power Wattage in Menu Bar shows the wattage, such as 85 W, when you’re plugged in, and the charge level, such as 72%, when you’re on battery.

Two more commands cover the rest. Show Energy Impact lists the apps that use the most energy, on Activity Monitor’s “energy impact” scale. Manage Energy Settings shows the power source and time remaining, and toggles Low Power Mode and Power Nap.

Energy Impact takes one top sample of about 2 seconds when you open it. The two toggles call pmset, so macOS asks for your admin password. It’s on the Raycast store (external site) and the source is in the raycast/extensions repo (external site).
